Chair
Ian has held high profile roles in the voluntary, housing and local government sectors as well as in the NHS in a variety of different roles. Most recently he was Chief Executive of the Terrence Higgins Trust, the UKs leading HIV and sexual health charity and before that had a 25 year career in the YMCA Movement including holding the position of CEO of YMCA England and Wales and as a member of the executive team of the World Alliance of YMCAs.
He has been a NED and Chair in NHS Acute, Ambulance and Commissioning organisations and is currently Chair of an NHS Foundation Trust in England. He was a member of the Welsh Government's Expert Advisory Group on banning LGBT conversion practices and helped develop the HIV Action Plan for Wales.
He lives in Powys with his husband and a wayward Springer Spaniel. He was awarded an OBE in the 2023 New Year's Honours List for services to charity and public health.
