NHS Wales 111 Press 2 - New Dashboard Goes Live to Public

29/08/2024

The NWJCC went live in July live with a public NHS 111 Wales Press 2 Dashboard giving the public access to an overview of some key statistics around the use of the service.

It provides information into trends and patterns related to mental health crisis calls, response times, and outcomes, empowering mental health professionals and policymakers to better understand and address mental health challenges in the community.

The dashboard is available following discussions with Welsh Government Policy and Statistical Service Teams and is available on the NWJCC’s Insight Hub on the NWJCC website.

The Insight Hub is the NWJCC online data area providing insights into Emergency Department (ED) operations, ambulance service performance, and mental health data, now including NHS 111 Wales Press 2 statistics.

The comprehensive dashboard includes:

  • Total Number of Records: A summary of all documented calls.
  • Demographic Summary: Insights into the age and gender distribution of callers.
  • Time and Date Summary: Analysis of call patterns by hour and day of the week.
  • Health Board Summary: Data from the 7 Local Health Boards in Wales.
  • Local Authority Summary: Statistics from the 22 Local Authorities in Wales.

Each summary displays the percentage share of the total number of records, reflecting the widespread use and reach of the service.

A record represents a documented call on the Adastra system, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data for all users.
