Associate Director of Communications and Engagement
Lee Leyshon is Associate Director of Communications and Engagement at the NWJCC. A registered, Chartered communications professional with more than 20 years leading communications teams across the public sector in Local Government and Further Education, Lee has held senior leadership roles in Health Boards and Trusts across NHS Wales since 2015.
Dedicating her career to public service, Lee is committed to enhancing communications and engagement activities in organisations that serve patients and communities in Wales. Lee has worked on and lead several high profile and contentious issues, strategic initiatives and programmes, and has successfully led her team as the senior Responsible Officer reporting to Welsh Government on a Targeted Intervention Improvement Programme.
Passionate about living organisational values, Lee is an advocate for strong internal communications, supporting CEOs and Executive Leaders in developing positive organisational culture.
Lee is a founding member of WIPR Cymru that inspires, empowers, and uplifts women in communications across Wales, and a member of Swansea University’s Industry Panel for the School of Culture and Communication, supporting curriculum development and future talent pipelines.
She lives in South Wales with her husband and two sons.
