The NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee (NWJCC) Accountability Report provides a transparent account of how the Joint Committee has discharged its responsibilities during the year on behalf of the people of Wales. The report enables patients, the public, partner organisations, Welsh Government, Health Boards and other stakeholders to understand the Committee’s role, priorities, performance, use of resources and governance arrangements.
It demonstrates how the NWJCC has exercised stewardship of public funds, managed risk, made decisions and delivered against its statutory responsibilities and strategic objectives. By publishing this report, the Joint Committee seeks to promote openness, accountability and confidence in its work, while providing assurance that services are being commissioned and overseen in a manner that supports high-quality, equitable and sustainable healthcare outcomes for the population of Wales.
