Director of Nursing and Quality Assurance

Carole brings more than 40 years of NHS service and expertise to her role as Director of Nursing and Quality for the Joint Commissioning Committee.

She joined the predecessor organisation in 2016 and is a registered Nurse and Midwife with two National Awards for Excellence in Midwifery Practice. Carole also holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management and has previously served as Clinical Director for Women and Children’s Services within a Health Board.

As Director of Nursing and Quality at the NWJCC, Carole provides professional, clinical, and strategic leadership to ensure the Committee fulfils its Duty of Quality, commissioning high-quality patient services. She is dedicated to driving quality improvements and is passionate about the positive impact the NWJCC can make on service delivery for the people of Wales.

A fluent Welsh speaker, Carole lives in Swansea, where she enjoys golfing and spending time with her grandchildren. She is also an active fundraiser for the charity Born on the Edge and has successfully led a project to build a maternity unit in Katchumbala, Uganda.
