Director of Transition and Transformation
Georgina Galletly has been the Director of Transformation at the NWJCC since July 2024.
George supports the Committee, Chief Commissioner, and the Senior Leadership Team in completing the transition plan actions and transformation to establish fully the NWJCC as the centre of excellence for commissioning in Wales.
George joined the NWJCC Team after working with Welsh Government to support the establishment of the NHS Executive that launched on 1 April 2023, as well as advising on NHS Governance leadership and oversight in the Health, Social Care and Early Years Group for the Chief Nursing Officer for Wales.
Originally from Worcestershire, George came to Cardiff in 1994 to study a degree in Anatomical Sciences and Wales then became her home. George went on to do a Master’s degree in Medical Law before joining the NHS as the South Wales Breast Screening Manager in 1999 and studied part time to gain a Master’s in Business Administration.
George has held various roles in her NHS Wales career including in Claims and Concerns, Planning and Corporate Development. George was Director of Corporate Governance in Velindre University NHS Trust for eight years before moving to Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board as their Director of Governance leading improvements in Governance, Claims and Concerns in response to their escalation status.
George is passionate about continuous improvement and transformation and fosters an open, transparent culture to support effective engagement and collaboration.
